Boredom contributes to the most significant reason as to why so many people abandon their workout routines each year. You can run for an hour on a treadmill at full speed, but you'll still be staring at the same spot on the wall the entire time. A bicycle will take you on a glorious journey through many landscapes and wear your butt and thighs out in the process, but what about your abs and pecs? They need love too. Yoga offers a bit of zen and better posture through a full-body workout, but where's the sporadic excitement once you've mastered all the choreographed, fluid movements? There are more genres of workouts offered today than ever before which can only be a positive thing, but an endless array of classes and fitness regimes can also be a bit daunting when deciding which ones will benefit you most and why. At this point, you've probably given a number of various workouts a test drive or two, and perhaps regularly committing to more than one a week to keep things interesting while exercising as many body parts as possible. Taryn Toomey has lead others to achieve mental and physical strength and flexibility for nearly a decade, having trained at Yoga Union when she was still in her teens before forming her own classes soon after. With a deep-rooted passion to bring music and movement to the forefront of her teachings, TT created The Class, an intense 75-minute session built around exploring every muscle group through cardio, strength training, and breath work. In The Class, there are no machines, weights, or props of any kind, it's solely the subject and their body. TT draws inspiration from her students, so each class is different, while the purpose remains the same--to dive into a place of discomfort--mentally and physically--in order to connect the mind, heart and body as one. The results of The Class are overall physical strength, agility, toned muscles you never knew you had, elongation, and total mental clarity. Each session is said to bring a confirmation of vigor the participant never knew existed within them. 

Located in the heart of Tribeca, Toomey's sessions have gained so much popularity and a devoted following that her classes are hard to get into and most carry a hearty wait-list. But we assure you the wait is worth it, and you just may never doubt your workouts again.
