Many traditional, nontraditional, spiritual, astrological, and lunar happenings are all coming together this very weekend. Whether you are religious or atheist, spiritual or not at all, follow astrology or feel it's bogus; one thing certainly rings true this Saturday, April 4th, and that is a very large, perfectly round and full moon that will hang over each of us near and far.
On the eve of Easter, Pesach or Passover, and just a regular ole Sunday to others, we are gifted with a tremendous Super Moon and Lunar Eclipse. For those of you that closely or recreationally follow astrology can attest that major events are brought out of such significant lunar activities like an eclipse and a phenomenally full moon. Some of you may have purchased lottery tickets, formed prayers for loved ones to heal, or crossed your fingers for that proposal to occur. The rest of you will probably unknowingly look up and notice how astonishing the moon is during your walk home on Saturday night, gawk at its enormity for a sec, then continue on your merry way; simple as that. Many kids will tear into Easter baskets and chocolate bunnies on Sunday morning before or after church, while others will be celebrating the 2nd day of Passover, or celebrating nothing at all.
Whichever line you stand on, or maybe even between, take a moment to look up into the sky and take it all in for just a passing minute, if you're able. No matter your beliefs, religious stances or not, let a magnificently perfect moon remind you for a brief second that you're alive, and whatever we choose to see can lead to pure magic.
