From Brooklyn to Queens

From Brooklyn to Queens

One man’s dusty velvet canapé à confidante sofa, is one man’s ultimate treasure. Isn’t that the beauty of flea markets? You never know what you didn’t have until you venture upon it serendipitously, and you never know what bizarre purchase you will be making (journal filled with undecipherable codes, anyone?).

Brooklyn is unleashing their new line up for the restless and bored. Explore DUMBO Flea every Sunday 10am-5pm in Brooklyn. Situated in a unique setting under the Manhattan Bridge, the Flea is returning to DUMBO for its ninth season! Though the polar vortex may have delayed it’s grand opening this Sunday, April 3rd, keep an eye out!

The line up of 75 vendors ranging from vintage, antique, and handmade products will surely be invigorating. dAN’s Parents’ House will be selling relics of his childhood, Dough will be carrying their scrumptious fluffy doughnuts, and/or for the more practical, stop by Sixfold for a handmade coffee carrier. Pet some dogs, nibble on some cookies.

For those of you in Queens, NY the LIC Flea & Food is opening for their fourth season on April 9th. The line up consists of a medley of 80 different antique, vintage, and food vendors. Don’t get consumed by all the craziness though! Remember to drink some beer and watch the changing Manhattan skyline.

Enjoy the weekend!
